Jonathan Reuel Music Copyright Permissions Form

Jonathan's copyright philosophy: "I write music to be enjoyed and used. Please share it with your friends and make use of it. If you'd like to support me as an artist, buy songs or albums online, give me meaningful feedback, join my CSM or make a donation. If you want to cover the songs as a band or use them in your church or organization, I ask that you find the permissions agreement that fits you and abide by it. I appreciate you honoring my work in this way and supporting me in it." -- Jonathan

Here's how permissions for Jonathan's music works:
1. Look at the chart below and see which kind(s) of permission you'd like.
2. Download the simple Organizational Liscense form to your computer, print it, fill it out, sign it, and mail it with appropriate payment (cheque or money order) to Reuel Arts at the address indicated on the form. It's that easy. Thank you!

TYPES of PERMISSON:
One song, one-time use *
For use at a single concert, worship service, class or other activity
Free of charge

One song, ongoing use for 5 years **
For any use after the first use
$20 one-time fee per song, all applicable taxes included

All songs on one album, 5 year use agreement **
For any use after the first use
$50 one-time fee per album

All previously published songs - 5 years use agreement **
For ongoing use of any song written by Jonathan Reuel and released on a Sonchild or JRL album
$250 one-time fee for all albums published before or during the 5 year period covered by the permissions agreement.

Recording permissions: Basic Cover Songs Fee Package for small scale distribution
For individual artists, bands or church groups wishing to record and distribute, sell and/or give away recordings of Jonathan's songs, a Basic Package is available. This package gives the recording artist the right to create and distribute up to 1000 copies of a cd with up to 3 covers of Reuel tunes. They must fill out the Recording permissions form and send it in with $75. This agreement ONLY covers 1000 cds -- if an artist produces more than 1000 cds, they must negotiate with Jonathan directly for additional fees.

The purpose of this package is to make it easy and affordable for new artists or small organizations to use Jonathan's songs to help them on their mission and/or their creative journey. This package does not cover online distribution (itunes, amazon, Rhapsody, etc). Jonathan reserves the right to turn down applicants for the Basic Package without explanation.

* One-Time Use includes: permission to play the song in concert, reproduce words and/or music on photocopies (including church bulletins), overhead transparency, or computer file for use at a single gathering (worship service/activity/concert) of a single organization (band, school, camp, church, etc.).

** 5 year use includes: permission to play the song in concert, reproduce words and/or music on photocopies (including church bulletins), overhead transparency, or computer file for use at gatherings (worship service/activity/concert) of a single organization for 5 years.

Note - "Use" does not include: permission for audio duplication, broadcast, or publication of songs on cd, online distribution, magazines, songbooks, etc. that are distributed or made available to the public.
